1. Introduction

I am very interested in the calculation and visualization of spatial data. In my value system, two things make a lot of sense. First of all, from the perspective of research, that the theory put forward in theoretical research is widely accepted by the academic community or that the results obtained by applied research can help the public cognition to improve or apply to the industry are extremely meaningful. Secondly, providing practitioners with universal services and improving their work efficiency would be a great achievement for me. For the latter, my dream and realization path is to establish an influential platform OGIScience in the field of spatial data science. The platform not only disseminates relevant information to students, scholars and industry in this field, but also establishes an internal resource sharing mechanism and a mechanism for answering questions and doubts. On the other hand, my team and I will try to develop programs like Geoda, GWR, OSMnx to provide direct support for everyone’s work. I will continue to promote the construction of the OGIScience platform in addition to scientific research. This work may run through my PhD study.
